When referring to specific countries and organisations under the ASEM process, the following list of ASEM Partners has been approved for use across all ASEF communications. This is to ensure the standard naming of countries and organisations for clear and consistent communication.

** Czech Republic:
The correct form in text versions (e.g. sentences) should be “the Czech Republic”.
** European Union:
The correct form in text versions (e.g. sentences) should be “the European Union”.
** Lao PDR:
The correct form in text versions (e.g. sentences) should be “the Lao PDR”.
** Netherlands:
The correct form in text versions (e.g. sentences) should be “the Netherlands”.
** Philippines:
The correct form in text versions (e.g. sentences) should be “the Philippines”.
** Russian Federation:
The correct form in text versions (e.g. sentences) should be “the Russian Federation”.
** United Kingdom:
The correct form in text versions (e.g. sentences) should be “the United Kingdom”.
